TIPS TO PREVENT HEAT STRESS

To avoid heat cramps, stay hydrated with water and summer coolers like fresh juices throughout the day. High intake of caffeine and alcohol can speed up dehydration.
Avoid sitting in a parked car. Inside car temperatures in hot weather can soar into triple digits within minutes.
With the smartphone in hand, be aware of the temperature and know beforehand the day’s forecast. India’s leading designers highly recommend to be comfortable in light colored cotton and linen wear and the best way to maintain your body temperature.
Never leave perishable food out of the refrigerator for more than two hours. There are high chances of getting food poisoning due to this.
Wear sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30 or greater in Delhi and apply at least 20-30 minutes before going outside. Skin does not have to feel hot to get burned, so protect yourself even on cloudy days too.
