In 1860 Louis  Ulysse Chopard founded his own watch making company in the small farming village of Sonvilier in the town of Jura. Since then the name of Chopard has earned an outstanding reputation for gold pocket watches, ladies dress watches and mens watches, from extra flat to highly complicated. In 1963 Paul-Andre Chopard at the age of 70 sold his firm "Le Petit Fils de L.U.Chopard & Cie. S.A. Geneve" to, 25 year old Karl Scheufele the 3rd .Karl Scheufele the 3rd is the President, his son Karl Fredrich Scheufele and Caroline Scheufele -

both are the Vice-Presidents of this 150 year old company.
